Cover of the Day: Fantastic Four 93!

Happy Birthday, Jack Kirby!

If the King was still with us, he'd be celebrating his 92nd birthday today! Of course, we have Jack to thank for the FF, as well as many other comics characters and stories!

The Thing's just behind Spidey in this house ad that was published in the August, 1979 cover-dated Marvels!

Argentina Missile Toy!

OK, so not all the Argentina superhero toys are toys I wish we had in the USA...

Marvel Stick-Ons!

Sadly, none of the Marvel Stick-Ons that I've seen had an FF member as the primary focus... well, there may be one with the Thing that I've forgotten about! These are the stickers you used to see advertised in the comics where kids had plastered them on the walls, notebooks, etc.

What If-? #2, Page 26, by Herb Trimpe!

This issue featured "What if the Hulk had Bruce Banner's Brain?", but as you can see, the FF played a big part in it!

Cover of the Day: Fantastic Four 204!

Marv Wolfman was writing the FF at this time, as well as the soon-to-be-cancelled Nova book! Fortunately for him, he had already started this crossover between the two titles, so the storyline could be wrapped up in the FF!

Fantastic Four Coloring Book!

The presence of Herbie here is a telltale sign of when this was produced, eh? I wonder if Plaid Stallions posted pictures from this yet?

Fantastic Four 203, Cover by Dave Cockrum!

I remember reading an interview with John Byrne where he specifically references this issue, pointing out that the idea of a monstrous Thing is, by definition, ridiculous, because the Thing's supposed to be a monster (at least in appearance), and that by this point, he'd been rendered more and more like a big orange teddy bear!

Fantastic Four TV Picture Storybook!

Based on the Hanna-Barbera series, or so the cover says! I don't know if this was produced in the USA or elsewhere, but I'm finding myself wishing I'd put a bid on it!

Cover of the Day: Fantastic Four 81!

Great coloring job on this cover, wonderfully spotlighting Crystal!

Slurpee Cups!

Here's a few more Slurpee Cups... I believe the cups on either side are the same, so you can get an idea of the overall wraparound image featuring the Surfer!
