As a kid, If I had been stuck with a Clea Slurpee cup, you could guarantee it'd be left shattered on the roadside after I'd finished the contents inside.
I'm still amazed by the range of characters slapped on those cups. I never knew...
The DC cups had an even wider range of characters than the Marvel ones! I mean, there were no Mary Jane Watson or Sharon Carter or J. Jonah Jameson cups in the Marvel line, but DC had Perry White, Jimmy Olsen, Lois Lane, Martha and Jonathan Kent, Jor-El and Lara (not to mention they also had secret identity cups with Clark Kent, Bruce Wayne, and Dick Grayson... plus the JSA characters, too!).
I never realized how extensive even Marvel's Slurpee cup set was, and I couldn't really afford them at the time, much less more than a comic every year or so. But those cups set the tone for the 7-11 stores, always dropping the tantalizing hint that perhaps there would be comics on the spinner rack, too. I sneaked every peak I could manage...and the day came when I could do chores and extra work and buy my own comics! But by then, the Slurpee Heroes were a part of history.

Speaking of DC, I always wanted a Sgt. Rock Slurpee cup, but I was too young in 1973 when they produced it!
That's what eBay is for, C.K.!

It's a shame they don't do cups like these anymore, isn't it?
